I couldn’t agree more. There are too many controversial restrictions that are included that, to my knowledge, had never been discussed with the community as a whole before including (building height restrictions, driveway restrictions, outdoor cooking restrictions more stringent than Delaware or National fire code, set back restrictions) It is a shame, because it is obvious the board members put a lot of time and money into this. If the choice is either an up or down vote, in my opinion, it has to be a resounding NO. I feel if Restrictive Covenants limit residents freedoms over current Local and Federal regulations, there should be an overwhelming community benefit. Especially in such a varied and eclectic neighborhood as ours.
