Delmarva Power will apparently be in the neighbored next week replacing some power lines. They have already marked off areas. Although we have not received official notice from Delmarva, residents should assume possible power disruption as crews do the work.
Also, Delmarva has posted the below notice to some residents regarding potential damage and repair to landscaping.
Residential Underground Services
After repair work on underground cables is completed, Delmarva Power will back-fill the trench to the original grade.
If the customer caused the damage, the customer is responsible for the costs to repair the cable, for reseeding or re-sodding the area, and for replacing any structures, fences, patios associated with the damage.
If Delmarva Power is responsible for the repair (breakdown in cable, etc.), Delmarva Power will reseed or resod the affected lawn or yard area back to its original condition.
Easements must be kept clear of trees, bushes, structures, fences, patios, etc. The restoration of power and repair of cable can be delayed if Delmarva Power cannot safely access its facilities.
Probable need to document garden planting, etc to see that the area is back to its original condition. Also some area seem to parallel the sprinkler system.

Does anyone know if it is possible for the power company to give us time windows for these repairs? I don’t need to know the exact time for the possible outages, but I do need to know from when to when.

I spoke with persons from Sussex Water and Media General that were marking our streets. Delmarva power is replacing and upgrading ALL poles, wires and equipment from the Indian Inlet bridge to Bethany. Tower Shores is near the start of the project. No time line, yet. I will watch for Delmarva personnel to try to get more info.
